While at our all-day childbirth class on Saturday, there was some discussion about discomforts, etc. during pregnancy. One woman was so kind to share the term given to a syndrome many of us get during this time, and it has helped me to come to tems with the fact that I, too, have this.
It's Gestational Turrets.
Pretty much means that you just say whatever is on your mind without that filter you usually put on in work/public situations. And sometimes that includes profanity.
Please feel free to use that term in order to make YOUR peace with the mood fluctuations and their effects if necessary. :)
next entry: birth videos....can't they pick better specimens to show you in order not to freak you out? or is that the intent? either way, it was effective. i'm sufficiently freaked out.
