Christmas and crawling....

So Christmas was awesome.... Avery really enjoyed pulling tissue paper out of gift bags, and was so overjoyed with that, she didn't want to tear the paper off of the gifts themselves! That's ok, that's what we're here for. She LOVES all of her toys, especially her cars and springy rocking horse! She laughs when we make sounds with her car, beeps when in reverse, and vroom vroom noises when she goes forward. She doesn't move it herself yet, but all in good time. We were thinking she'd just figure that out and not start crawling, but that isn't the case. She figured out crawling the week after Christmas, and hasn't stopped since! Now we turn our heads for only a minute, and she's into everything! She really gets so proud of herself when she does something naughty, she smiles like it's funny.... wish us luck when she gets to be a teenager! She's not sleeping too well lately, and it's killing me! I'd like to think it's teething, but she doesn't need much consoling when she wakes, it's almost like she's just uncomfortable...
In any case, we love our little girl more every day, and even when she's more of a challenge, she's still a ton of fun to be around...it's really hard to keep a straight face when you're trying to teach her "no!"
I'm missing her right now since i'll be at work late tonight and won't get to tuck her in...but maybe i'll luck out and she'll still be awake when i make it home from the west side! (Fort Worth).
